How To Be An Artist #7

Be open. One of my favorite pieces of jewelry is an “O” ring I found at Poppy. I love the bright turquoise blue and large O, which reminds be to be open. Open to change, new things, possibilities ... allowing yourself to dream  and be fearless.
I’m still dreaming of London — going back (up) on the London Eye with someone special. What are you open to? The sky’s the limit.

Pretty Simple. Simply Pretty.

I’ve been perusing websites for work and stumbled upon several goodies, coveted items. They all make me smile so I thought I would share.
Pink and oh-so-pretty. {source}
Messenger/Saddle bags: I covet both of these messenger bags. Big enough to carry all my goodies. Simplicity and functionality combined {source; moop}.
Dream bed: I didn’t realize this was Mexico. But how can one resist this bed, this view? Absolutely dreamy {source}.

Hunger Games trilogy: How am I so late in the game? Forget that they are labeled teen-reading … Devoured these three books in less than four days.
Guitar ring and picks: Pretty Simple. Simply Pretty. Reminds me to pick up my beautiful guitar and start playing again. {ring, pick}

Little O

I received this special gift — I call it my “O” necklace — from a dear friend of mine. I wear it often and recently brought it back to Poppy  for a small repair. To my surprise, the jewelry designer Kelly Baldwin, included these delicate earrings for my trouble. Such a sweet, simple gesture, along with beautiful art, I just had to share! More of her designs here .
