Mahalo!

Murphy has been knocking on my door and practically lived with me the last few months. You know the saying, when you’ve hit bottom there’s nowhere to go but up. My inner optimist has been waiting for that moment. That moment where I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel and pray it isn’t a train. So this past week, surrounded by family, I had a moment. Maybe a few.
I could dwell on all the bad luck but I have to remind myself every day how much good fortune I have. Thankfully, my family and I have our good health. We have the basic necessities to make it through each day. We have love. Sometimes, it is enough.
And this week we had good food, really delicious food thanks to my chef Matt. I went to my first Black Friday and bought one too many dvds and a little piece of heaven in the form of a contour pillow. Beau and I enjoyed a Harry Potter marathon (even though I mixed up 6 with 5) — #7 made me want to travel. I had my first Harrahs casino experience — penny slot machine and came out with $10.25. Go me! The weekend ended with a night with Matt and Jake G. Best date ever.
I’m waving Murphy good-bye. Aloha! It’s time to let the light in.
Thank you Lyns for my new good luck charm. Mahalo!
