be the change

I woke up to a blanket of white. I’ve often said the only time I love snow is on Christmas and today, that wish was granted a day early. 
I have felt the Christmas spirit through the care and kindness of friends ... from family ... from M and J stopping to help an elderly neighbor shovel her driveway ... from watching a sister surprise her brother with a gift he truly coveted. And I’m hopeful that there will be more moments of wonder.
I carry the message of the simple gift I received tonight in my heart.
