I love the book, Water for Elephants, and highly anticipated the movie which opened this weekend. We made an evening of it and began with Matt’s homemade rendition of chicken parmesan with russet potatoes á la Giada.
Saved the best for last: Paula Deen’s double chocolate gooey butter cake á la mode {recipe}.
Looks so good! I wish Matt could come cook for me! Did you like the movie? I was thinking about catching it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful movie with stunning actors and sets. I loved the book, so I missed some of the relationships that were more developed in the book (Jake and Kinko, Camel) and the love affair with Marlena was slightly different. There were slow scenes (could add music) but overall, it's lovely to watch. I've always adored Reese. Christoph is wicked good and Rob ... he can act. And c'mon, sexpender pants! :D
