Day 2. Something sweet

I found a bread pudding that rivals the one I devoured at The Bourbon House in New Orleans. This is the creme brulee bread pudding at Flatbranch Pub and Brewing. It’s simply SWEET and delicious.
Pastry chef and old friend, Mamata Reddy, sent us some of her jars of delectable sauce from her Pomegranate Sweets & Savories shop in Chicago. I felt honored receiving this gift from someone who recently baked for Prince William and Kate, and Oprah. I poured the whiskey caramel nut sauce over vanilla bean ice cream. No surprise, it was pure heaven. I know I’ve been saying that lately, but what a TREAT! Thank you Mamata!

  1. It all looks so good! I don't remember Flatbranch having bread pudding on their menu...is it new? I remember Tellers having a really good bread pudding.

  2. Amy, I didn't know either! It's a new discovery for me. I hope they keep it on the menu. :)

  3. Hi Ren! I'm so glad you guys liked the sauce. I should have sent more! :-D! Thanks for the shout-out for Pomegranate too. I'll be sure and bring a case when I visit Columbia next. ;-)
