The Iceman Cometh

What does one do when one hears that Val Kilmer is in town? Well, volunteer to work the merch stand for a chance meeting with the Iceman. Tonight was a gorgeous night at Fulton, which made the long evening bearable as Val worked his magic on stage as Mark Twain. A few tidbits: People loved him as Doc Holliday in Tombstone. That signed photo sold out in minutes. I met his dramatic make-up artist who was having a breakdown over a broken bottle. He must have gone through ten hot towels whilst taking off Val’s makeup during the Q&A after the show. Val has been working on a documentary and movie about Mark Twain for eight years … that should be interesting. He’s a far cry from his Jim Morrison, Iceman and Batman days, but still quite an enigma.
