happiness = happy knees

Exactly 11 weeks ago, I began to have aches around my knees. Something as simple as walking up and down stairs, and bending to pick up something was painful. During yoga, I could not do my favorite pose – the sleeping child pose. C’mon, that’s the easiest, most basic stretch! So finally, after weeks of pretending it would get better if I walked, stretched, became more active, I saw a doctor. I had to wait the longest day for my results, but when my tests came back normal, I was relieved. I promised myself that I would do everything to get my legs back in order. I’ve been prescribed physical therapy for my knee joints, and I’ve already started a daily regimen of light swimming and stretching at the club’s indoor pool. I don’t pretend that things will be back to normal but I do plan to keep my legs strong so I can get on a {surf} board … someday, soon.
