There are some people you meet and have an instant connection with. Meeting Lejla, Tripti, Bronwin, TJ and Hussein was just like that … genuinely kind, beautiful, FUN Westminster students, taking a moment to capture this time; a memory of their friendship before Graduation Day.

LEJLA 

Where are you from:  Bosnia and Herzegovina 

Three words that describe me are:  Responsibility, perseverance, passion

My favorite show, movie or book is ... 

Since my favorite book is by a Bosnian author (the name of it is Death and the Dervish and is very philosophical) it would be hard to explain its meaning and beauty, so I will go with Friends as my favorite show since they have been making some of the worst moments in my life much happier and easier for the last 10 years. 

My favorite memory while I was at Westminster College: 

It is hard to pick only one. Every moment that I spent learning from my friends who come from all over the world was a moment to remember. Our conversations and all the laughter we share is something that made my experience at Westminster more than extraordinary. 

What are your plans after Graduation? 

I will be working at Westminster College as a fellow for the Office of Intercultural Engagement for a year after which I am hoping to pursue a phD in Environmental Politics and Policy.

TJIZEMBUA

Where are you from:  Namibia 

Three words that describe me are:  I am funny, mysterious and a chronic partier. 

My favorite book is ... 
My favorite book is 100 years of Solitude by Garcia Marquez 

My favorite memory while I was at Westminster College: 
Barbecuing chicken with friends while sipping on a good cheap beer.

Where are you from:  India

Three words that describe me are:  Friendly, funny and curious 

My favorite show, movie or book is ... 
I love to read and watch movies so I can’t really pick one 

My favorite memory while I was at Westminster College: 
My time with my Besties whilst senior year 

What are your plans after Graduation? 
Attending Mizzou for industrial engineering Ph.D. Program




HUSSEIN

Where are you from:  Tyre Lebanon / Dearborn, MI

My favorite show, movie or book is ... 
Movie: Cloud Atlas: expands our perception of life, love, and destiny

My favorite memory while I was at Westminster College: 
Going to a sophomore retreat (colors of Westminster) where we spent a few days camping and bonding as students with one another.

What are your plans after Graduation? 
Grad school or law school



BRONWIN
Where are you from:  I am from Durban, South Africa

Three words that describe me are:  Passionate, animated and an observer

My favorite show, movie or book is ... 
I loved the Great Gatsby because it is the first English book I remember thoroughly exploring. I read it in UWC with a professor who taught me “In English” the beauty of the language, the images and the plot. In Zulu, I had done all these things. So its safe to say the book introduced me to English Literature.

My favorite memory while I was at Westminster College: 
Favorite memory would have to be seeing the class of 2016 walk across the stage.

What are your plans after Graduation? 
After graduation I plan to find a job and dazzle the world.
