Megan and Chris | Engagement

I wanna be the wind that fills your sails
And be the hand that lifts your veil
And be the moon that moves your tide
The sun coming up in your eyes
Be the wheels that never rust
And be the spark that lights you up
All that you've been dreaming of and more
So much more, I wanna be your everything...

~ Keith Urban

Some things are better unplanned. At the last minute, I was asked to shoot an engagement session on the couple’s boat at the Lake, during Labor Day weekend — only the busiest holiday at the Lake of the Ozarks. Balmy weather, 70 degrees, sunshine, good friends, and doing what I love … how could I not?
The night we arrived, we checked out the boat (a.k.a. Orca), surroundings, and met up with Megan and company, to plan their wardrobe. See that gorgeous blue dress? She has eight of them in different colors! Ok, so we planned a little bit, maybe, a lot. This was going to be a sunrise session, and honestly, I’m not a morning person. But the next day, we rose with the sun and started at 6:30 AM, and It. Was. Perfect.

Thank you Chris H for inviting us to the Lake for much needed R and R after the session. Tim, Greg, Denise and crew, for the delicious meals and boat ride! Beau, for being a wonderful assistant and kick-A hair stylist. THANK YOU Chris and Megan for inviting us on your AMAZING boat and allowing me, 2Rtist Photography, to capture your special moment. Congrats and much love! xo Ren
