wedding {guest} booklet

I had an opportunity to design and create gift wedding booklets for Stessie’s upcoming nuptials. Her wedding decor includes peacock and fleur-de-lis motifs. What fun!
Since I only had less than a week to put something together, I worked off a template I created for my mother’s special birthday a few year’s ago.
Stessie’s mini booklet contained four pages of helpful information for out-of-town guests.

Thank you M, for all your help — we completed 54 booklets in one day! {Ren Reiske © All Rights Reserved}

(Below) My new travel book for our upcoming trip to Europe!

I make books. I love the tactile feel of handmade books, journaling and collecting of memories. Before I travel or attend a big event, I’ll take time to create a book for the occasion.

Ren’s books: Japan book; Myrtle Beach; HOW design; and perfect binding.
Inspired by Patrick Ng and my handboundbooks (two photos above). She is amazingly talented. Check out her books on Etsy.

Red bull

There are plenty of reasons to love and watch The Blind Side. This is for all the guys whose girlfriends, wives, or friends dragged them to New Moon … hehe. For me, it was Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw (yeah, he’s my little bit of country, even though I rarely listen to country), and the reference to The Story of Ferdinand.
The Story of Ferdinand is one of my favorite children’s books. The vintage illustrations by Robert Lawson are extraordinary and the story is classic. When my son was very young he brought home a vintage copy which was falling apart, so I put it back together using a bookbinding technique. It’s a special story that deserved a place on the shelf. Check out the movie and the book.
