Someone woke me up this morning. Loudly. Good thing she’s so cute. Her eyes reflected ocean blue and I was instantly smitten.
Lazy Saturday. Reading Branching Inward and Fifty Shades of Grey. The sun warms my feet and spring fever is palpable. It’s going to be a good day. Ren Reiske © All Rights Reserved} marchphotoaday instagram @groovininthesun

A first kiss
In my youth, I was quite a bookworm (I still am). I’m not a complete nerd because I read a lot of fluff along with the classics. One love story I will forever hold in my tween heart — though I can't recall the actual title — was this book I refer to as The Red Cherry Jalopy (I’ve tried to Google it with no luck!). It was a perfect, romantic novel about young love. As I said before, I read a lot of fluff and when I ran across this little fanfiction (ok, don’t judge until you’ve actually read a few), I could not put it down. It was The Red Cherry Jalopy all over again. I found myself laughing out loud and remembering the innocent days of middle school — yes, this is safe for 13+ reading. While I don’t normally rec teen reading material, it’s a sweet little story for all ages, perfect for Valentines — geeky Edward stole my heart. Check it out: An Introduction to Swirl and Daisy
Summery: A first kiss, a first dance, a first curse word shared between best friends. This is the tale of a boring young geek and the social pariah who thought the world of him. A tale of growing up. A tale of a non-romantic romance.

my yes, my no
Who needs a Kindle or a Nook when you have wifi and an iPod Touch. I love my iRob, err iPod. I also love lolashoes and christina/tby for completing their stories, which had me checking for the latest chapters daily. Ladies, you rock! Caveat: If you are mature (seriously) 18 and over, read on … these are my latest recs:
My Yes, My No. This reminded me of the film, Sliding Doors, where you get two stories from a different perspective merging to the same conclusion and destiny. If you’ve read New Moon, you will love this. Synopsis: On the plane back from Italy, Edward asks if they can try again. One Bella says yes; one Bella says no. Parallel stories in alternating chapters explore how these two reactions can influence the reunion and rebuilding of trust after Edward left.

A Little Crazy. Short and sweet. This was the first story I read by christina and became a true fan. Synopsis: Edward is the new, mysterious tenant across the street. Bella has spent her entire life here. Can he convince her that life isn't a place, but what you keep with you?

Wide Awake
“The hands…” I started, fidgeting my fingers nervously. “The hands represent friendship.” Edward glanced up at me from the ring and darted his eyes back to it quickly. We had friendship. That was no big deal. “The crown…” I trailed off, buying me some time. I began pulling at the ends of my sleeves anxiously. “The crown represents loyalty.” I choked out as Edward still sat staring at the ring blankly. I bit my lip hard and began pulling at my sleeves rougher. “And the heart…” I trailed off, shifting my gaze to my hands in my lap. “Well, you know…” I grimaced, realizing it was too soon for him to hear this from me, and there was no backing out of it now. *
Books are my thing. I love to read, from loquacious biographies to quixotic fiction. Recently, I've discovered fan fiction. The first few were “for mature audiences only” meaning, I would blush to no end if anyone knew about this dirty little secret. But then I stumbled upon some very good writing. Not classic literature by any means, but writing that fills you with emotion. The kind that keeps you up in the wee hours and makes your day, when a new chapter goes online.
Caveat: these are for Mature audiences only, so unless you’re 18 and over, move on. ;)
I recently finished Wide Awake and loved it. Acquiescence and infinitesimal are part of my daily jargon. It’s 90 percent angst and 10 percent dls. *smirk*
Synopsis: Edward and Bella have dark pasts that leave them severely emotionally scarred, with nightmares that force them to stay awake. They meet and begin to form a bond during the night hours. Rated M for dark themes. Note: Other than the use of the characters names and a few canon quotes, this is NOT Twilight.
If you’ve read Wide Awake, message me. I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you're interested in this link and other good fanfic, message me. READING is good…spread the word.
