Beach blues

Our beach neighbor’s bottle tree. We like to party.

Doc’s was highly recommended by a few people. It was okay. I was a bit spoiled by our homemade seafood feast last night. But their gumbo is very good and these crab claws are tasty. I noticed that most eateries here are big on fried and salty!

Independence Day

We have been fortunate to see dolphins swimming by daily and today was no exception. Today, we practically swam with them since they were only a few yards away. Matt was greeted by a wall of flying fish before the dolphins appeared. Sheer bliss.

Our luck with finding a great seafood place has not come to fruition, yet. Since it's a holiday, Chef Matt decided to pick up fresh crabs and shrimp from the market and cook our feast for tonight. So, so gooooood.

Fireworks were everywhere on the beach beginning as early as 7:30. The best display coming from our backyard. But I was awestruck by the full, red moon hanging brightly and glowing oceanside. Happy 4th, all!
