Wonder & Fancy Love

This weekend a few unexpected, wonderful things happened. I finally bought THE lens that I’ve been saving for and coveting forever, only to find a great deal which allowed me to purchase a couple more fun, work toys from Creve Cour Camera. After which, I received a call for a last minute photo gig at Kappa Alpha Theta’s winter formal. An opportunity to break in my new toys, heck YES! A big THANKS and shout out to all the ladies of Theta (and gents) who made it such a FUN, work night.

The next day it snowed. Not exactly wonderful (I’m an island girl, remember) but that was a sign to work on my SPECIAL GIVEAWAY. Stay tuned, friends, more on this SOON.
I have not even begun my holiday shopping because I am one of those people who wait until the last minute, but Matt and I hit the stores in search of my latest, wonderful, must-have-find. Ok, I know this is random and off-the-subject, but it’s small and WONDERFUL, and if you smell it or ME you will understand, because it’s SOooo GOOD. I found my new signature perfume (thanks Jessie for introducing me to it) and it’s called Fancy Love. The depth of this fragrance bursts with creamy Amber and Blonde Woods while sensual Musk and Patchouli create a loving and long lasting trail. Uh-Huh! Forget that it’s from Jessica Simpson (NO really, FORGET it’s Jessica Simpson, because I will deny something this delicious is her brand!). Oh, and it came with a fancy LOVE necklace. Please don’t judge.

Back to the program. The weather wasn’t perfect – very cold and starting to snow-wet-rain-kind-of-night. Intern friend and part-time model :) JEN and I headed out to the magic tree for a quick photo sesh. Just as we were wrapping up the shoot, half the lights go out on the famous magic tree! I SWEAR IT WAS NOT ME. Thankfully, I was able to capture some of the magic before the lights went out.

What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.
