Carla’s family

The most important thing in the world is family and love.~ 

Carla reached out to me before Christmas to take photos of her family since her parents and (almost) 96-year-old grandma would be visiting. We decided to shoot at her home, which was a perfect setting. It was snowing and a freezing 14 degrees outside, but they could not be a more authentically adorable family, complete with three well-mannered dogs.

The holidays is a great time to BE CREATIVE, to unleash your inner child. But like most of you, I’m so busy just trying to keep up with work, real life and the holiday madness. So, when Beau asked if we were going to paint ornaments again this year (a new family tradition), I was ALL IN! We trekked to the Mud Room one, cold evening. It’s been awhile since I’ve painted — I like being creative with my hands, trying different things. Painting and photography were my fine arts of choice in college. Sigh. So for one night, I relaxed, enjoyed the colors and painting again. :)
