Tricky Treat

Light your pumpkin and dress a little weird.
Make this day funny instead of being feared.
Happy Halloween!

Mileys vs. Minions | Halloween

This year, we decided to go BIG or go home for the annual office Halloween contest. We channeled Miley and Duck Dynasty, crafted our outfits, shot the video, brought it on!

But alas, we were defeated by Despicable 2 ...
… all in good FUN!

WE. CAN’T. STOP.
1. Do not try this at home. Sledgehammers are HEAVY. 2. Jen whipping up the wrecking ball like a lasso, the ball snapping off the plastic chain and flying. Funniest. Moment. EVER.  Happy HALLOWEEN ALL! xoxo Ren

October skies

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
’Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low...
— Van Morrison

Hartsburg Pumpkinfest | October 13

I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air…

Party like a Rockstar

“You have to go on and be crazy. Craziness is like heaven.”
― Jimi Hendrix

I channeled Jimi for Halloween this year. My officemates and I became a famous musician for a day — our very own Hall of Fame.

Rock, peace and love all! Happy Halloween!

BadA$$

My $12 find at The Candy Factory {why do I love it so?}. The ring was with the other Halloween goodies, but something this cool can be worn every day. I want, I bought.

Edward-o’-lantern

{Ren Reiske © Oct. 2009}

Update: For those of you who are carving-knife-challenged like me, there’s the simpler PAPER lantern version. You may use poster board to create the shell or a colored paper bag.

It’s time to get out the knife!
In all honesty, I’ve never  found any pleasure in cleaning out a pumpkin and carving one. I’m not even allowed to handle knives or those special carving tools because it would go against my BE SAFE motto. But then I saw these beauties … Twilight and free … double win! Go here for the templates.
