for FOX sake

Mrs. Fox: You know, you really are... fantastic.
Mr. Fox: I try.

Mrs. Fox: [to Ash] We’re all different. [indicates Mr. Fox]
Mrs. Fox: Especially him. But there’s something kind of fantastic about that, isn’t there?

~ Fantastic Mr. Fox

The holidays is a great time to BE CREATIVE, to unleash your inner child. But like most of you, I’m so busy just trying to keep up with work, real life and the holiday madness. So, when Beau asked if we were going to paint ornaments again this year (a new family tradition), I was ALL IN! We trekked to the Mud Room one, cold evening. It’s been awhile since I’ve painted — I like being creative with my hands, trying different things. Painting and photography were my fine arts of choice in college. Sigh. So for one night, I relaxed, enjoyed the colors and painting again. :)

I am convinced that the FOX is the new OWL. Pretty soon, foxes everywhere. Just wait.

Looking back

Every year, we pick out or make ornaments that hold a special memory or significance for the year.
New York, Paris, London ... Rome. Amazing race with Beau.
Hawaiian shark (thought it was a dolphin) and first year of my guitar. Still strumming…
A Harley for Matt.
Mi familia. Looking forward to a happy new year!
