Day 26. black & white

Oh, how I love and miss black and white film photography. Before I could dig out my old Canon film camera and Tri-X film {sigh, the good ol’ days}, I found myself rushing out the door to attend a friend’s Stella & Dot party. So I promised myself that I WILL take a day, when I find a free moment, to do just that. For now, here are some from my iPhone, manipulated with filters to appear as black and white … not the same, I know, but I hope you like.

Hello sunshine!

It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day, even though rain poured through the night. Even though I spent a good part of the day inside at work. When I got home, Chef Matt was trying out a new recipe — Mexican lasagna. As you know, I’m an expert food sampler and it was crazy good. Paired with Passion has Red Lips {red wine} by Some Young Punks {yes, I love cool labels and no, I didn’t make this up}, it was a perfect meal for this sunshiny day.

Day 6. Makes you smile

Unconditional love. That’s what Heiney gives. Even on her worse days, she makes me smile.

Friday. Happy hour with friends at room 38. What could be better? Oh, good eats and red wine. Makes me smile.
