I had been corresponding back and forth with Jeanette (Heather’s mom) and Heather about her photo session. We rescheduled last week when it turned cold (low 40s) with blustery wind. Not the kind of wind that creates beautiful, flowing hair. But today, it was all warm (70s!) and sunshine. That’s December in Missouri.

When I met Heather, her mom, and friend, Taylor, I knew it was going to be a fun shoot. Heather was full of energy and enthusiasm -- she just rocked her session. I love how her personality just shone through – from her matching Cheetah gear to the hot pink shorts.

{Yes, it was worth laying down in the dirty alley to get one of my favorite shots!}

This gal is as sweet as pie and makes me laugh. And laugh. And laugh. We almost didn’t finish the shoot! I met Jen at my favorite coffee shop so she could try the ridiculously good mushroom turnovers while I drank a hot latte before we braved the cold. Yes, it was windy and COLD. But we were too busy laughing to notice.

My favorite place to be is at the beach. This is beautiful Sanoa Islands at the Dominican Republic. I could not get over how clear and blue the water was. Absolutely unreal. Where is your favorite beach?

I have a bit of wanderlust. It’s been four months since I’ve gone anywhere {out of state} and I’m feeling the need to travel. Road trip perhaps? If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Time to make plans. :)

Meeting some very interesting and talented people through Instagram. @hootilicious, who has an awesome food blog, asked me to post my shot of Big Ben. I’m glad I did because it brought back all those great memories of London.

I love my iPhone but it’s hard to resist these little red booths. This brings back good memories. I love London. I want to go back someday, soon.

My drive through the countryside has opened my eyes up to every tree, barn, and unusual landmark that I see. When the clouds opened up and sun burst through, I found myself jumping out of the car to capture this moment (original below).

Edge of desire
