Day 12. Close-up

It snowed today. We have not had a snow day in months. My traveling gnome, miniRob, dropped by to warm things up. :}

Day 9. Daily routine

I commute. Drive. This is my down time. Passing through countryside to a city. Today, I was caught off guard by fleeting deer. On the road, listening to Adele or Rihanna — this is my favorite time of day. Going home.

Hey bartender

Uh-hmmm… someone’s packing HEAT!
You know that feeling when you go into a store and you see that cute puppy staring at you with those eyes and it’s like, Awww… take me home please? It was like that. :)

little black beanie

mini Rob’s beanie (thumb cap)
NefariouWhoa … MTV’s VJ Sway!
Cristin is one of the most talented, crafty people I know. When she left this little surprise for me and mini Rob, I officially dubbed her COOLEST knit chick ever! Where would mini Rob be without his ubiquitous black cap? Thank you, C!

Let the Right One In

The film, Let the Right One In, is out on DVD now. It’s not for everyone, but if you love independent films with artistic flavor, you may enjoy this. (I watched it twice. I had to SEE the “stitches” scene again out of curiousity. If you blink, you will miss it.)
Last year, I entered Ragtag’s Vampy Love: Super Special Surprise Contest, and surprisingly was chosen as one of the three winning entries. Here was my entry:

He walked in
Pale, extraordinarily beautiful,
brooding
My heart stopped beating
It whispered
Let the right one in

They stood in lines
Tiny, young girls screaming,
crying
No blood shed, but hearts were breaking
She whispered
Bite me, Edward Cullen

In the shadow
Dark, looming, creeping
obsession
My mind twisted, my heart in flames
It cried out
He’s (f*cking) fiction!

Love is beauty
Love is passion
Love is bewildering ...

It bites
And then you die.
